The theory of 6 degrees of separation referred to the idea (made by Frigyes Karinthy) that anyone in the world was on average 6 people (steps) away from another person in the world.
So if I picked out a random name in any phone book I would find that person via 6 different people on average – like a chain of people leading to that one person I sought.
This theory was developed back in the 20’s and fast forward 80 years or so and Twitter reckons they have closed the gap to just 4.

In an ideal world where everyone could be honest (and proud) about their extra vocations, we have asserted that there are only 2 degrees of separation if the person you wished to find was a female sex worker (stripper, escort, pole dancer etc).
For someone like Charlie Sheen it may seem feasible – infact he wouldn’t have to have any middle connectors, merely just rolling over in bed and whispering in the ear of his porn actress girlfriend.

What about more “unconnected” types….say the Queen of England?The cousin of Kate Middleton – future Mrs King of England – was revealed as a burlesque stripper in the news recently.So even the Queen of England herself would only need to ask just 1 person (her grand daughter-in-law) for the phone number of a sex worker.This makes the world a very small place, and highlights again (much to the squeals of delight from MySpace@TwitBook and the like) the importance of using social media to make access to your services as smooth and clear as possible.

Either way social media must be embraced if you are serious about reaching your goals working in the sex industry.
